THE ULTIMATE INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR THE UNIVERSE

Today: we search for a deeper explanation of our universe. A theory that can answer some of the many open questions in particle physics - the Grand Unified Theory of Everything - GUTOE.

When we look around us and search the heavens, one conclusion is obvious, how did we get so lucky to be here on Earth in what is such a violent system (Universe.) We are so lucky in fact that we live in a habitable zone where the existence is not to hot and not to cold.

If things were just a little different:

If the natural hydrogen level (74%) of the universe were slightly lower or, if the W boson, (a fundamental particle together with the Z boson, it is responsible for the weak force), had been a little bit lighter, the Sun would have burned out a long time before we evolved. Moreover, if the electromagnetic force were a bit stronger, fusion in stars would not have produced carbon which would be a disaster for us carbon-based worlds and finally, if the Higgs (God particle) did not give mass to all particles, all particles would be massless.

These are just a few of the consequences to us on Earth and the greater universe, which briefly shows the fine balance of the system in general.

Let’s, just stop for a moment: and think of the situation if these small alterations were to happen. Gravity would not be able to do its thing as particles would be massless. The list goes on so we ask the question, was the universal fine balance predetermined or just fell into place by a process of chaos or perhaps fortuity?

When we examine the Standard Model of Physics 1965, everything seems to be in its place – leptons, fermions – the gauge bosons, photons, gluons, etc. Yes, I can hear everybody screaming at me saying, but gravity is missing. If we look at the free parameters of the standard model, it may be controlled by a deeper force or theory, then it would appear that there is a fundamental reason why the current universe is the way it is.

What I am saying is that with the fine balance in which the universe is in today; then what or who designed it the way it is? A short step to the right or left, the Higgs particle missing a beat, would render all particles inoperable. The universe would be expanding without any matter.

Cause & effect: I am not arguing an intelligent design or interference from a supernatural deity, or a chaos theory of sorts, my point is that the intricate placement of everything in its place and working in synchronicity is more than coincidental, it is a miracle of immense proportions even bigger than the Big Bang itself. Here we have everything in our universe like quarks x 3 coming together in hadron groups to make protons and neutrons. This alone is a phenomenal construction. What drives quarks to say, you guys put together two up and one down quarks - to create a proton.

In ‘Other Worlds’ we see nothing inevitable about our universe. It says - it is just a series of accidents. I can’t accept this as a Grand United Theory. Are we another version of the strongest will survive or is it that evolution has set in motion particle position, purpose and a set of circumstances which places evolution in train?
